Friends of Lake Anne
Preserving life on Lake Anne, Reston
Reston’s Lake Anne is a treasure in our community. Lake Anne Village Center is the original village center of Reston, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Friends of Lake Anne purpose is to promote education about and, a contextual understanding of, the historical and architectural significance of the Lake Anne historic district’s public areas. We also provide financial support for the restoration and maintenance of the sculptural, fountain, landscape and architectural elements in the public Plaza.
That’s our official purpose. Most people in the community know us as the organization responsible for amazing events on the Plaza, like Chalk on the Water and the Roots music festival.
We also sponsor the Reston Market, the weekly arts market that operates alongside the Reston Farmer’s Market.
